Tech Talent Shortage

Technology pros with computer-networking skills are in short supply throughout North America, a recent survey shows. The dearth of talent in this niche is expected to result in an 8% gap in qualified workers each year for the next three years. What's more, techies skilled in network security, wireless and voice technologies are also in high demand. Respondents included 500 network managers at firms of various sizes in industries across the board, reports Cisco Systems Inc. in collaboration with the technology company's nonprofit arm, the Cisco Learning Institute.
